Gets the statuses of the specified pools.
Deprecated behavior: This method returns the best possible answer based on
the availability status. For example, if the A pool with the specified name
has an 'AVAILABILITY_STATUS_RED' status and the AAAA pool with the
specified name has an 'AVAILABILITY_STATUS_GREEN' status, then the full object
status of the AAAA pool will be returned as the status of the specified pool.
Gets a list of pools.
Deprecated behavior: This method returns a list of unique pool names. If
there is more than one pool with the same name (but of different types A,
AAAA, or CNAME), only one of these pools is reported.
This method was deprecated due to changing the pool member keys.
Please use create_v2 in its stead.
Creates the specified pools.
Note: as of v10.1.0, the members are reordered starting
with 0, with no gaps, so the system maintains the relative
order but not the absolute numbers originally specified for
ordering.
Deprecated behavior: This method will create an A and AAAA type pool
and add the members to the pool of the matching type type A or AAAA,
depending on if the member is backed by an IPv4 or IPv6 address,
respectively.
Creates the specified pools.
The members are reordered starting with 0, with no gaps, so the
system maintains the relative order but not the absolute numbers
originally specified for ordering.
Deprecated behavior: This method will create an A and AAAA type pool
and add the members to the pool of the matching type type A or AAAA,
depending on if the member is backed by an IPv4 or IPv6 address,
respectively.
Deletes the specified pools.
Deprecated behavior: This method will delete all pools with the specified
names that match types A, AAAA, or CNAME.
Deletes all pools.
Deprecated behavior: This method will delete all pools matching types A,
AAAA, or CNAME.
This method was deprecated due to changing pool member keys.
Please use get_member_v2 in its stead.
Gets a list of pool members.
Deprecated behavior: This method returns a list of members on the specified
pools of type A and AAAA.
This method was deprecated due to changing pool member keys.
Please use add_member_v2 in its stead.
Adds members to the specified pools.
Note: as of v10.1.0, the members are reordered starting
with 0, with no gaps, so the system maintains the relative
order but not the absolute numbers originally specified for
ordering.
Deprecated behavior: This method will add the members to the
specified pool of the matching type type A or AAAA, depending
on if the member is backed by an IPv4 or IPv6 address,
respectively. If a member is specified and the specified
pool of the corresponding type (A for IPv4 members and AAAA
for IPv6 members) does not exist, it is an error.
This method was deprecated due to changing pool member keys.
Please use remove_member_v2 in its stead.
Removes members from the specified pools.
Deprecated behavior: This method will remove the members from the
specified pool of the matching type type A or AAAA, depending
on if the member is backed by an IPv4 or IPv6 address,
respectively. If a member is specified and the specified
pool of the corresponding type (A for IPv4 members and AAAA
for IPv6 members) does not exist, it is an error.
Sets the TTL values for the specified pools.
Deprecated behavior: This field will be set on all specified pools
matching types A, AAAA, or CNAME.
Gets the TTL values for the specified pools.
Deprecated behavior: This method returns the field from a pool matching
the specified name. Since multiple pools with this name may exist, the
value returned is obtained from either the A, AAAA, or CNAME pool, in
that order. If none of these pools exist, this method produces an error.
Sets the enabled state of the specified pools.
Deprecated behavior: This field will be set on all specified pools
matching types A, AAAA, or CNAME.
Gets the enabled state of the specified pools.
Deprecated behavior: This method returns the field from a pool matching
the specified name. Since multiple pools with this name may exist, the
value returned is obtained from either the A, AAAA, or CNAME pool, in
that order. If none of these pools exist, this method produces an error.
Sets the states to indicate whether to check the availability of pool member availability before using them.
Deprecated behavior: This field will be set on all specified pools
matching types A, AAAA, or CNAME.
Gets the states to indicate whether to check the availability of pool member availability before using them.
Deprecated behavior: This method returns the field from a pool matching
the specified name. Since multiple pools with this name may exist, the
value returned is obtained from either the A, AAAA, or CNAME pool, in
that order. If none of these pools exist, this method produces an error.
Sets the states to indicate whether to use dynamic ratio to modify the behavior of QOS.
Deprecated behavior: This field will be set on all specified pools
matching types A, AAAA, or CNAME.

Deprecated behavior: This method returns the field from a pool matching
the specified name. Since multiple pools with this name may exist, the
value returned is obtained from either the A, AAAA, or CNAME pool, in
that order. If none of these pools exist, this method produces an error.
Sets the number of answers to return for the specified pools.
Deprecated behavior: This field will be set on all specified pools
matching types A or AAAA. Note that CNAME pools can only return
one answer (the default), so this value will not be set on any
specified CNAME pools.
Gets the number of answers to return for the specified pools.
Deprecated behavior: This method returns the field from a pool matching
the specified name. Since multiple pools with this name may exist, the
value returned is obtained from either the A, AAAA, or CNAME pool, in

Sets the fallback/emergency failure IP for the specified pools.
This method is deprecated; new designs should use set_fallback_ip{v4,v6}.
Deprecated behavior: If the specified ip address is IPv4, we will attempt
to set on a type A pool of the specified name. If the specified ip address
is IPv6, we will attempt to set this ip on the type AAAA pool of the
specified name. If the type of pool corresponding to the ip address does
not exist, it is an error.

CNAME type, if it does not already exist. If it does already exist, it
will clear any existing members from each specified pool and add a
single static target cname member of the specified cname to the pool.
Gets the CNAMEs for the specified pools.
Deprecated behavior: This method will return the name of the static target
cname member on each of the specified cname pools. If the cname pool or
static target cname member does not exist, and an A or AAAA pool of the
specified name does exists, an empty string will be returned. If no pools
of the specified name and type A, AAAA, or CNAME exist, it is an error.

limits returned are obtained from either the A or AAAA pool, in that order.
If none of these pools exist, this method produces an error.
Sets/creates the monitor associations for the specified pools. This basically creates the monitor associations
between a pool and a monitor rule. The 'none' monitor is no longer a valid monitor_template for a MonitorRule.
Any monitor associations created using the keyword 'none' will be adjusted accordingly and the 'none' monitor
removed.
Deprecated behavior: The specified monitors will be set on all specified pools
matching types A or AAAA.
Gets the monitor associations for the specified pools, i.e. the monitor rules used by the pools.
Deprecated behavior: This method returns the monitors from a pool matching
the specified name. Since multiple pools with this name may exist, the
monitor returned is obtained from either the A or AAAA pool, in that order.
If none of these pools exist, this method produces an error.
Removes the monitor associations for the specified pools. This basically deletes the monitor
associations between a pool and a monitor rule, i.e. the specified pools will no longer
be monitored.
Deprecated behavior: This method returns the limits from a pool matching
the specified name. The limits will be returned from a type A pool of the
specified name, unless that does not exist. In that case then the limits from
the type AAAA pool are used and if that also does not exist, this method
produces an error.
Sets the description for a set of pools.
This is an arbitrary field which can be used for any purpose.
Deprecated behavior: This field will be set on all specified pools
matching types A, AAAA, or CNAME.
Gets the descriptions for a set of pools.
Deprecated behavior: This method returns the field from a pool matching
the specified name. Since multiple pools with this name may exist, the
value returned is obtained from either the A, AAAA, or CNAME pool, in

Deprecated behavior: A given statistics entry returned from this method
represents a sum of each of the individual statistics on pools of the
specified same name and types A, AAAA, and CNAME.
Gets the members of a set of pools.
Deprecated behavior: This method returns a list of members on the specified
pools of type A and AAAA.
Adds members to the specified pools.
The members are reordered starting with 0, with no gaps, so the
system maintains the relative order but not the absolute numbers
originally specified for ordering.
Removes all members from the specified pools.
Deprecated behavior: This method will remove all members from the
specified pool of the matching type type A or AAAA.
Gets the statuses for the specified members of the specified pools.
Deprecated behavior: There is no change in behavior since the type
of pool is implicit in the IP address type of the member (IPv4
members on type A pools and IPv6 members on type AAAA pools).
Sets the orders for the specified members of the specified pools.
The members are reordered starting with 0, with no gaps, so the
system maintains the relative order but not the absolute numbers
originally specified for ordering.
Deprecated behavior: This method splits the members for a given
pool into two lists, one of IPv4 address type members and one of
IPv6 address type members. The orders specified are set on the
given member but each of these two lists are reordered seperately,
starting with 0 and with no gaps. Therefore you could potentially
see two members on the same pool (name) with the same order, if
one member is backed by an IPv4 address and another member is
backed by an IPv6 address. This is because one is on the A type
pool of the given name and the other is on the AAAA type pool
of the same name.
Gets the orders for the specified members of the specified pools.
Deprecated behavior: There is no change in behavior since the type
of pool is implicit in the IP address type of the member (IPv4
members on type A pools and IPv6 members on type AAAA pools).

of pool is implicit in the IP address type of the member (IPv4
members on type A pools and IPv6 members on type AAAA pools).
Gets the user metadata for the specified pools.
User metadata, also metadata for short, is mainly a name/value
pair that is associated with a metadata capable config (MCC) object.
Some exmaples of MCC objects are ltm pool and virtual server.
The combination of the MCC object name and the metadata name
uniguely identify an instance of the metadata. One MCC object
may have multiple instances of metadata associated with it.
In addition to name/value pair, metadata also has a persistence
attribute. See Common::MetadataPersistence for its definition.
Deprecated behavior: This method returns a list of unique metadata
objects. Therefore if there is more than one metadata of the same
name on the specified pool name (but of different type A, AAAA,
or CNAME), only one of these duplicate metadata objects is reported.
Adds the metadata for the specified pools.
For definition of the metadata, refer to the get_metadata method
description.

Deprecated behavior: This field will be set on all specified pools
matching types A, AAAA, or CNAME.
Gets the relative weight for virtual server capacity when the load balancing mode is set to LB_METHOD_QOS.
Deprecated behavior: This method returns the field from a pool matching
the specified name. Since multiple pools with this name may exist, the
value returned is obtained from either the A, AAAA, or CNAME pool, in
that order. If none of these pools exist, this method produces an error.

Deprecated behavior: This field will be set on all specified pools
matching types A, AAAA, or CNAME.
Gets the relative weight for link capacity when the load balancing mode is set to LB_METHOD_QOS.
Deprecated behavior: This method returns the field from a pool matching
the specified name. Since multiple pools with this name may exist, the
value returned is obtained from either the A, AAAA, or CNAME pool, in
that order. If none of these pools exist, this method produces an error.
Sets the relative weight for connection rate when the load balancing mode is set to LB_METHOD_QOS.
This function is deprecated and new applications should use vs_score.
Deprecated behavior: This field will be set on all specified pools
matching types A, AAAA, or CNAME.
Gets the relative weight for connection rate when the load balancing mode is set to LB_METHOD_QOS.
This function is deprecated and new applications should use vs_score.
Deprecated behavior: This method returns the field from a pool matching
the specified name. Since multiple pools with this name may exist, the
value returned is obtained from either the A, AAAA, or CNAME pool, in
that order. If none of these pools exist, this method produces an error.
Sets the relative weight for virtual server (VS) score when the load balancing mode is set to LB_METHOD_QOS.
Deprecated behavior: This field will be set on all specified pools
matching types A, AAAA, or CNAME.
Gets the relative weight for virtual server (VS) score when the load balancing mode is set to LB_METHOD_QOS.
Deprecated behavior: This method returns the field from a pool matching
the specified name. Since multiple pools with this name may exist, the
value returned is obtained from either the A, AAAA, or CNAME pool, in
that order. If none of these pools exist, this method produces an error.
Gets the fallback/emergency failure IP for the specified pools.
This method is deprecated; new designs should use get_fallback_ip{v4,v6}.
Deprecated behavior: This method returns the field from a pool matching
the specified name. The field will be returned from a type A pool of the
specified name, unless that does not exist. In that case then the field from
the type AAAA pool is used and if that also does not exist, this method
produces an error.
Sets the fallback/emergency failure IPv4 address for the specified pools.
Deprecated behavior: This method will attempt to set each ip address on a
type A pool of the specified name. If the A type of pool does not exist,
it is an error.
Gets the fallback/emergency failure IPv4 address for the specified pools.
Deprecated behavior: This method returns the field from a pool matching
the specified name and of type A. If the given type A pool does not exist,
this method produces an error.
Sets the fallback/emergency failure IPv6 address for the specified pools.
Deprecated behavior: This method will attempt to set each ip address on a
type AAAA pool of the specified name. If the AAAA type of pool does not
exist, it is an error.
Gets the fallback/emergency failure IPv6 address for the specified pools.
Deprecated behavior: This method returns the field from a pool matching
the specified name and of type AAAA. If the given type AAAA pool does not
exist, this method produces an error.
Sets the CNAMEs for the specified pools.
Deprecated behavior: This method will create each specified pool as a
CNAME type, if it does not already exist.
Sets the limits for pool metrics.
Deprecated behavior: The specified limits will be set on all specified pools
matching types A or AAAA.
Gets all metrics limits for a sequence of pools.

the specified name. Since multiple pools with this name may exist, the
limits returned are obtained from either the A or AAAA pool, in that order.
Since multiple pools with this name may exist, the
value returned is obtained from either the A, AAAA, or CNAME pool, in
that order. If none of these pools exist, this method produces an error.
Resets the statistics for the specified pools.
Deprecated behavior: This method will clear all statistics on each of the
pools of the specified name and matching the type A, AAAA, or CNAME.

Deprecated behavior: A given statistics entry returned from this method
represents a sum of each of the individual statistics on pools of the
specified same name and types A, AAAA, and CNAME.
Gets the statistics for the specified pools.

Adds virtual servers that the specified members of the specified
pools depend on.
Deprecated behavior: There is no change in behavior since the type
of pool is implicit in the IP address type of the member (IPv4
members on type A pools and IPv6 members on type AAAA pools).
Removes virtual servers that the specified members of the specified
pools depend on.
Deprecated behavior: There is no change in behavior since the type
of pool is implicit in the IP address type of the member (IPv4
members on type A pools and IPv6 members on type AAAA pools).

of pool is implicit in the IP address type of the member (IPv4
members on type A pools and IPv6 members on type AAAA pools).
Gets the statistics for the specified members of the specified
pools.
Deprecated behavior: There is no change in behavior since the type
of pool is implicit in the IP address type of the member (IPv4
members on type A pools and IPv6 members on type AAAA pools).
Deprecated behavior: This method adds the specified metadata
on the specified pools matching types A, AAAA, or CNAME.
Removes the metadata for the specified pools and names.
For definition of the metadata, refer to the get_metadata method
description.
Deprecated behavior: This method removes the specified metadata
from all specified pools matching types A, AAAA, or CNAME.
Removes all the metadata instances for the specified pools.

For definition of the metadata, refer to the get_metadata method
description.
Deprecated behavior: This field will be set on all specified pool
metadatas matching types A, AAAA, or CNAME.
Gets the metadata values for the specified metadata.
For definition of the metadata, refer to the get_metadata method
description.
Deprecated behavior: This method returns the field from a pool
metadata matching the specified name. Since multiple pool metadatas
with this name may exist, the value returned is obtained from either
the A, AAAA, or CNAME pool metadata, in that order. If none of these
pool metadatas exist, this method produces an error.
Sets the descriptions for the specified metadata.
For definition of the metadata, refer to the get_metadata method
description.

metadatas matching types A, AAAA, or CNAME.
Gets the metadata descriptions for the specified metadata.
Sets the persistence for the specified metadata.
For definition of the metadata, refer to the get_metadata method
description.
Deprecated behavior: This field will be set on all specified pool
metadatas matching types A, AAAA, or CNAME.
Gets the persistence for the specified metadata.
Gets the version information for this interface.
*IMPORTANT* Due to changing pool key definitions (pools are now identified by a name
and a query type), this entire interface is deprecated as of BIG-IP_v12.0.0. Please use the
GlobalLB::PoolV2 interface to work with pools; continuing to use the deprecated
GlobalLB::Pool interface against BIG-IP_v12.0.0 and later versions can result in unintended
configurations and behavior.
The Pool interface enables you to work with pools and their attributes.
