The Application interface enables you to work with classification categories and applications. PEM supplies predefined categories such as web, audio_video, P2P, mail, etc. Many of the categories have applications associated with them. For example, the category web defines commonly known web sites (or applications) such as apple, amazon, ebay, google, facebook, and youtube. Customers can create custom categories and applications; iRules and data groups are used to classify the traffic into custom categories and applications.
