# How to Acquire New TZData Information

* Download `tzdataXYZ.tar.gz` from [IANA](http://www.iana.org/time-zones).
* Extract using `tar -xvzf tzdataXYZ.tar.gz -C path`.
* Convert the timezone text files to JSON.
