Insead this measure now gets data for space types and constructions from the openstudio-standards gem. This makes this measure more in line with the DOE prototype buildings and with the Create Baseline Building measure. Some changes between the old and new measure argument choices and behavior are listed below. - While the old measure had an "Office" building type, the new measure has SmallOffice, MediumOffice, and LargeOffice building types. - A new building type choice is HighriseApartment - 189.1-2009 has been removed as a template (target standard) choice, while 90.1-2010 and 90.12013 have been added. - In some cases the space types that are generated for a building tpye wll vary based on the template (target standard) that is chosen. Two examples follow - 90.1 2004 and later template choices for LargeOffice have two additional space types that don't exist in older template choices. These space types are Data Center and Main Data Center. - 90.1 2004 and later template choices for SmallHotel have GuestRoom123Occ and GuestRoom123Vac space types while older template choices instead have a GuestRoom space type. - While most building types only use space types pulled from the prototype building, the Office building types have additional space types. The prototype buildings use a whole building space type, although in some of the large office "Whole Building" isn't really whole building since there are a few data center space types. The "Whole Building" space types are generated by the measure for modelers who want to use it with core and perimeter models; but the measure also generates individual un-blended space types for more detailed modeling. These space type choices are the same as the old measure, however some loads and schedules may be different than before. - Some prototype buildings types have elevator internal loads assigned directly to a space, while other prototype building types have elevator loads included in the space type load power density. Modelers should be familar with what is included in the space type power dencity when using these space types. - Heating and Cooling setpoint schedules are generated by this measure but won't be assigned to anything in the model. (this is similar behavior to the older versions of the measure) - Currently InternalMass is not included but it could be added in the future. (same as in the past) - Service Water Heating and Exhaust Fans are not included in space tyes (same as in the past) - Exterior Lighting loads are not produced by this measure (same as in the past) - The measure doesn't alter any mechanical system elements, however it does add SpaceInfiltration and DesignSpecificationOutdoorAir objets to the space types (same as in the past)
