# RNA Transcription Given a DNA strand, return its RNA complement (per RNA transcription). Both DNA and RNA strands are a sequence of nucleotides. The four nucleotides found in DNA are adenine (**A**), cytosine (**C**), guanine (**G**) and thymine (**T**). The four nucleotides found in RNA are adenine (**A**), cytosine (**C**), guanine (**G**) and uracil (**U**). Given a DNA strand, its transcribed RNA strand is formed by replacing each nucleotide with its complement: * `G` -> `C` * `C` -> `G` * `T` -> `A` * `A` -> `U` ## Loading your exercise implementation in PolyML ``` $ poly --use {exercise}.sml ``` Or: ``` $ poly > use "{exercise}.sml"; ``` **Note:** You have to replace {exercise}. ## Running the tests ``` $ poly -q --use test.sml ``` ## Feedback, Issues, Pull Requests The [exercism/sml](https://github.com/exercism/sml) repository on GitHub is the home for all of the Standard ML exercises. If you have feedback about an exercise, or want to help implementing a new one, head over there and create an issue. We'll do our best to help you! ## Source Hyperphysics [http://hyperphysics.phy-astr.gsu.edu/hbase/Organic/transcription.html](http://hyperphysics.phy-astr.gsu.edu/hbase/Organic/transcription.html) ## Submitting Incomplete Solutions It's possible to submit an incomplete solution so you can see how others have completed the exercise.
