Ruby 1.9 gem install rails_best_practices or add in Gemfile gem "rails_best_practices" if you still want to use rails_best_practices gem in ruby 1.8, please add ripper gem dependency before rails_best_practices. Ruby 1.8 gem install ripper gem install rails_best_practices or add in Gemfile gem "ripper" gem "rails_best_practices" Issue ----- If you install the rails_best_practices with bundler-installed github-sourced gem, please use the following command instead. bundle exec rails_best_practices .
