Using such alternative protocols, it was possible to apply higher currents to achieve faster charging without cell degradation. In addition, baseline tests were carried out in order to study capacity fade. First, several CCCV cycles were run at gradually increasing C-rates to examine behavior (particularly temperature increases) at higher C-rates.
