# Ruby library for using server-sent events This repository contains server_sent_events gem sources. ## Installation Add this line to your application's Gemfile: gem "server_sent_events" And then execute: $ bundle Or install it yourself as: $ gem install server_sent_events ## Usage Minimal program that listens to server events and simply prints them to console would look something like this: require "server_sent_events" ServerSentEvents.listen("http://127.0.0.1:8001") do |event| puts event end ## Development After checking out the repo, run `bin/setup` to install dependencies. Then, run `rake spec` to run the tests. You can also run `bin/console` for an interactive prompt that will allow you to experiment. To install this gem onto your local machine, run `bundle exec rake install`.
