To update OpenSSL library (openssl.so extension) for Windows follow these steps: * Install Perl interpreter (if it's not installed yet), e.g. ActiveState Perl (http://www.activestate.com/activeperl), and add path to perl.exe to PATH variable, e.g. C:\Perl\bin * Install Netwide Assembler (NASM) from http://www.nasm.us/ (if it's not installed yet) and add path to nasm.exe (usually 'C:\Program Files\nasm') to the PATH variable * Download OpenSSL library source code from http://www.openssl.org/ and extract the downloaded archive, e.g. into C:\Qt\openssl-src * Open Visual Studio 2012 Command Prompt. This is accomplished using `VS2012 x86 Native Tools Command Prompt` in Apps view of Windows 8 OS. Run in Visual Studio 2012 Command Prompt: > call "%VS110COMNTOOLS%..\..\VC\vcvarsall.bat" x86 > set CL=/MP /D_USING_V110_SDK71_ %CL% > set PATH=%ProgramFiles(x86)%\Microsoft SDKs\Windows\7.1A\Bin;%PATH% > set INCLUDE=%ProgramFiles(x86)%\Microsoft SDKs\Windows\7.1A\Include;%INCLUDE% > set LIB=%ProgramFiles(x86)%\Microsoft SDKs\Windows\7.1A\Lib;%LIB% > cd \Qt\openssl-src > call perl Configure VC-WIN32 enable-static-engine --prefix=<path-to-rhodes>/lib/extensions/openssl.so > call ms\do_nasm > nmake -f ms\ntdll.mak > nmake -f ms\ntdll.mak install > nmake -f ms\ntdll.mak clean * Move `lib/extensions/openssl.so/bin`, `lib/extensions/openssl.so/include` and `lib/extensions/openssl.so/lib` folders to `lib/extensions/openssl.so/ext/win32` folder (replacing existing files)
