John had always been a bit of an outsider in his community. He never really cared much for socializing or making small talk with his neighbors. He kept to himself most of the time, preferring his own company.

As he grew older, John became increasingly indifferent towards maintaining healthy relationships with people. He would ignore invitations to parties, avoid participating in community events, and generally keep the people in his life at arm's length.

When asked about his lack of involvement in the social side of things, John simply shrugged and said, "I don't care about all that. I'm here to do what I love, and I've accomplished that. Anything else is just a bonus."

And indeed, it was. John continued to produce incredible works of art, regardless of how his relationships with others fared. He made a name for himself as one of the most solitary and enigmatic artists of his time, and he never regretted his lack of socializing.
