  Before you begin, here are some tips to help you troubleshoot your problems:

  %li Close your browser and restart your computer.
  %li Check your volume setting for your microphone (Control Panel > Sounds and Audio Devices > Audio).
  %li Double-check your connections and settings.  If you have multiple audio inputs, only have your microphone plugged in.
  %li Exit any other audio related applications running on your computer (such as Skype), and any Instant Messaging applications (such as Yahoo! Messenger).
  %li If your microphone has a mute button, make sure it is not muted.
  %li Be sure to speak clearly and loudly into your microphone.
  %li If you use a PC, do a quick recording using Microsoft Sound Recorder (Start > Programs > Accessories > Sound Recorder).  This will help confirm if things are working on your end.  For Mac users, you can check your audio input level by going to Spotlight > System Preferences > Sound.  Then click "Input" and talk to see your audio level.
