# TKH Illustrations

This is a Rails engine with customizes file uploading via the carrierwave gem.

Primarily developed for Ten Thousand Hours but we are happy to share if anybody finds it useful. It's meant primarily to be used with the tkh_cms gem suite but over time we want it to be used individually as well. The latter implementation will be accelerated if some issues and pull requests come in, denoting some interest out there.

It's still in its infancy. Many improvements to come.

## Pre-requisites

The following things are needed:

* an application controller switch_to_admin_layout method - optional use of the tkh_admin_panel gem
* the imagemagick library must be installed on your dev machine and production server
* current_user, authenticate, and authenticate_with_admin methods should be provided by your authentication system. You can use the tkh_authentication gem to that effect

That's all

## Installation

Add this line to your application's Gemfile:

    gem 'tkh_illustrations', '~> 0.0'

And then execute:

    $ bundle

Import migrations

		$ rake tkh_illustrations:install

Run the migrations

		$ rake db:migrate

And then of course restart your server!

		$ rails s

## Upgrading

If you are upgrading and think you might need to upgrade your migrations or your locale files, run:

    $ rake tkh_illustrations:update

and

		$ rake db:migrate

## Usage

The main section is located at:

    $ /illustrations

The optional header graphics section is at:

		$ /headers

... and it should work out of the box
