# simplecov-cobertura

Produces [Cobertura](http://cobertura.sourceforge.net/) formatted XML from [SimpleCov](https://github.com/colszowka/simplecov).

Output can be consumed by the [Jenkins Cobertura Plugin](https://wiki.jenkins-ci.org/display/JENKINS/Cobertura+Plugin) for easy 
coverage visualization.

## Installation

Add this line to your application's Gemfile:

```ruby
gem 'simplecov-cobertura'
```

And then execute:

    $ bundle

Or install it yourself as:

    $ gem install simplecov-cobertura

## Usage

```ruby
require 'simplecov-cobertura'

SimpleCov.formatter = SimpleCov::Formatter::CoberturaFormatter
```

## Continuous Integration
Tested in a CI environment against the following Ruby versions:
* 2.1
* 2.0.0
* 1.9

## Known Limitations
* No support for branch coverage

## Troubleshooting
If you get an error about not being able to install the libxml-ruby gem, do the following
    
    $ sudo apt-get install libxml2-dev
